Privacy policy

This site is run by one person in Sapporo, Japan. It sells nothing directly and it does not ask you to create an account.

What is collected

Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. This places cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google. It does not tell me who you are.

Affiliate tracking. When you click an affiliate link, the company you are sent to may place a cookie in order to attribute a resulting booking to this site. Those cookies are set by that company, under that company’s privacy policy, not mine. I receive only aggregate reports of bookings — not your name, your contact details, or what you booked.

Contact. If you write to me, I receive whatever you put in the message, including your email address. It is used to reply to you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Server logs. The hosting provider keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.

What is not collected

No newsletter signups. No advertising networks. No retargeting pixels. Nothing is sold or passed to data brokers.

Your rights

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you the right to request access to personal data held about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to object to processing. Because this site holds almost nothing about individual readers, in most cases the answer will be that there is nothing to disclose — but ask, and I will check.

Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on how this site works. Blocking affiliate cookies has no effect on you either; it only means that a booking you make will not be attributed here.
